The ANZAB 2023 Organising Committee looks forward to welcoming ringers and their companions to the 2023 ANZAB Ringing Festival, to be held in Western Australia from Friday, 8th June to Monday, 12th June, 2023.

Alphabet Ring (mini ring) at Bridgetown, approximately 3.5 hours south of Perth. Own travel arrangements.

Recorded 10-bell and Laura Ivey Trophy striking competitions to be submitted by date to be advised.

Transport in and around Perth

To and from the Airport

The new Airport Line is open. Airport Central station is at Terminal 1 (Virgin) and Redcliffe station is near Terminals 3 & 4 (Qantas). Take the shuttle bus (route 292) to Redcliffe station from Terminals 3 & 4.

The Airport Line will take you to Claremont via Perth city. Change at Bayswater station for the Midland–Fremantle line.

There is also a high frequency bus (route 940) that runs between Redcliffe station and the city. The bus travels along Great Eastern Highway, Adelaide Terrace and St Georges Terrace. This bus could be more convenient, depending upon where you are staying.

There are cash fares or ‘SmartRider’ electronic ticket on buses, trains and ferries. Day fares or family day fares might be your cheapest option if getting out and about. Single fares are valid for two hours.


During the day trains run approx. every 15 minutes.

Note: Perth Station and Perth Underground are connected by an underground foot tunnel but different lines run through each station.

Bus Ports (Stations) If getting out and about by bus, there are two city bus ports (stations), Perth City and Elizabeth Quay. Check carefully which one your bus leaves from!
Free central city buses CAT Buses provide free travel in central city areas. There are five CAT routes in the Perth city area. In addition, any Transperth bus travelling in the central Perth city Free Transit Zone is free.

Transport to Towers - Perth and Surrounds

Christ Church, Claremont

Catch the Fremantle line from Perth Station to Claremont. Approx. 7 min. walk to the church.

St Hilda’s Chapel, Mosman Park

Catch the Fremantle line from Perth Station to Mosman Park. Approx. 20 min. walk to the church.

Rockingham Civic Centre, Rockingham Catch the Mandurah line from Elizabeth Quay or Perth Underground to Rockingham. Then take bus no. 555 (Rockingham Shuttle) to the civic centre.
Christ’s Church, Mandurah Catch the Mandurah line from Elizabeth Quay or Perth Underground to Mandurah. Then take the circular Mandurah Shuttle bus no. 588 (clockwise) or 589 (anticlockwise) to the Sutton St carpark, which is opposite the church. The clockwise route is shorter.

Transport to York, Bunbury and Bridgetown

To Bridgetown for the Alphabet Ring

Country bus services run from Perth to Bridgetown. Bookings and timetables available here.

Note: tickets must be bought in advance of travel.

The journey is about 3.5 hours from Perth by car.

To York and Bunbury

Buses will be arranged if there is sufficient interest.

York is approx. 1.5 hours from Perth.

Bunbury is approx. 3 hours from Perth.
