Bellringing health & safety research project

Scott Pilkington, from this tower, led a research project as per the following notice.

Do you want to contribute to the advancement of bellringing safety? Participate in our research study and share your insights on common injuries and ailments in belltowers. By doing so, you can help us plan and mitigate potential risks, and ensure the sustainability of ringing for years to come. Register now, here.

Our goal is to have health and safety data from each tower across the association to build a picture of the risks involved. This research is being led by Scott Pilkington, Deputy Captain at St Matthew's Society of Bellringers and an Honorary Research Fellow in Museums & Cultural Heritage at University of Auckland.

This page supplements the ANZAB Tower Directory, and records further information about the tower, its bells and ringers.

Some of this has been provided by local ringers, but most is historical and has been gathered by the ANZAB Webmaster since 2002.

Tower officers are encouraged to submit material for inclusion on this page, or suggest changes to its content.
