Twelve participants took part in the NSW/ACT Branch's "Towards Touches of Stedman Triples" workshop hosted at St Mary's Cathedral on 12 July. Facilitator Peter Harrison gave a comprehensive overview of the theory of Stedman, breaking it down into its component parts - there was something new for everyone, even experienced ringers!
After a few practice rings, we went back to the theory again, this time touching on (pun intended) some basic calling patterns, for aspiring conductors. Those who are interested in going into more depth are directed to Peter's Covid-era webinar here.
Following feedback received from participants, the Branch is planning to organise a Stedman Triples practice session for people to put their skills and new ideas into practice.
