Parramatta Bell Frame Arrives
The bell frame for the ring of eight at St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta, was delivered on 2 November 2020. Thomas Perrins is shown supervising the unloading. Installation is expected to start shortly and will be Australia's 65th ring of bells.

Blessing of Bells for St Patrick's, Parramatta
The eight bells were blessed on Tuesday, 8 September 2020. They included the Ron Shepherd tribute bell, the treble, which was christened St Benedict.

Another ring of bells, fresh off the boat - this time for St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta. This ring includes the Ron Shepherd tribute bell (treble). 8 bells, 7-3-24 in A.

Ron Shepherd Meets His Tribute Bell
Dave Kelly of the Keltek Trust sent this image of Ron Shepherd and the NEANZAB tribute bell, taken on 10 September 2018 at Matthew Higby's workshop.
The bell will be the treble of the ring to be installed at St Patrick's Cathedral.

The bells for St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta (left), are being gathered. Some are awaiting tuning and the Ron Shepherd tribute bell has been cast.

NEANZAB ringers and towers, assisted by Beechworth (invited as their bells are a Ron Shepherd installation), have donated the bell shown below. The dedication on the bell reads NEANZAB TRIBUTE TO RON SHEPHERD FOR HIS EXTRAORDINARY CONTRIBUTION TO BELLRINGING. The bell will be the treble in a set of eight bells planned for St Patrick's Catholic Cathedral in Parramatta.
Ron has been significantly involved in getting bells hung in the following towers: St James’ Queen’s Square (Sydney), Naremburn, Castlereagh, Camden, Armidale, Lismore, Singleton, Bowral, Griffith, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange, Katoomba, Beechworth and Menangle. He is still working on others!
