Three ANZAB members rang their first handbell peal recently. Mary Sluter reports:

I think we were quite surprised to be successful with the peal! No real backstory, just something we had talked about trying since before we moved down to Oamaru, then of course it became more difficult with Wendy still in Hamilton. So she came down early for the TIC to visit family, then came here and we said we would try, and managed to ring it straight off with no practice!

Having said that, we have rung several quarters in the past and we stuck to our 'strongest pairs' this time.
